5. My wishlist of Modcloth bags has reached unhealthy levels.

6. I've started thinking recently of going into vintage inspired bridal-think more minimalist pieces but still heavy on romantacism.

I'm heading off to the beach soon, so this will be my last post for a little while! These are good opportunities to gain fresh perspectives and refuel creativity.

 I always feel recharged with different ideas when I'm away...must be the salt air!

In the Navy

I thought I would share my outfit from a few days ago.

I love navy, it's such a classic colour-and I found this amazing bag to go with my dress.

I love the quality of vintage items, they were really built to last.

Double Indemnity

When it comes to my fashion design I can draw inspiration from any number of things but mostly they come from movies.

I'm a huge fan of film and in particular movies of the forties and fifties.

Double Indemnity was both the first film noir and the first film starring Barbara Stanwyck that I ever saw and I loved it so much that it inspired me to create a dress after it.

 While the dress may seem simple, it's actually what I wanted to achieve. It's about light, dark, contrast and drama being created through the strong feminine silhouette and the wearer making a strong visual impact.

Today I'm in charge of the boutique, it's always fun to play while others are away!

 Later on I'll be taking outfit photographs of myself, meanwhile my face is puffy from a steroid I've been put on this week!
